Incredible Charging Handbag by Richard Nicoll

British fashion designer Richard Nicoll wanted to create an electric atmosphere at his catwalk show at London Fashion Week. He did that, in part, by debuting a rechargeable handbag that can power your cell phone. It is an elegant leather tote.

The cutting-edge accessory merges style with practicality, and gives fashion-conscious cell phone users the freedom to zip between a busy day and boutiques without worrying that their smartphones will run out of juice.

Designed in conjunction with Vodafone, the battery-powered bag can, when fully charged, provide energy for iPhones, iPads, Androids and BlackBerry devices for several days. Users simply plug their gadget into a discrete pocket inside the bag. A Bluetooth-enable LED “charm” hangs on its exterior, and flashes to indicate incoming calls. The bag itself does not ring, so ushers needn’t worry about asking people to turn off their handbags.

No price has been released for the bag, which will go on sale later this spring, but similar (traditional) bags sell for $467. Ok ladies what do you think about this new invention?

    Not normal…but on the go!!

I love to just hang out with my family.  We don’t just like sitting around.  As some of my friends have told me when we had kids that our kids better get use to the car, being on the road, and traveling because we are always on the go.  My husband and I of course we like to sit and relax but we also don’t like to let life pass us by.  We like to see things, taste things and explore things.  So this means that we at times become a tourist in our own city.  We totally love it.  We love doing what some of our friends haven’t done in years or say “oh yeah that would be fun to do when someone comes to visit”.  Why wait do it now we say.

So we have taken our kids on boat rides, taxi’s, underground tours, the bus, and more.  They have flown all sorts of places too.  Our son had more frequent flier miles by the time he was 2 than most adults.  We just love to explore and take our kids on our journey of life with us.  This last summer we decided to take a family vacation to So. California.  We knew there was so much to see, eat, and do.  And one thing we just wanted to add as a new and different element to the trip was to follow food truck and try them out.  So we did.  It was fun.  We got to see all sorts of places and tried all sorts of food.

I just love doing some of these fun things because we just never know where we are going to go and what life is going to take us but we know it will be fun and that we will get to try new things and meet new people.  It has helped our kids understand that there is a world outside of the walls of their home.   The hard thing about it sometimes is you have favorite places, food or something that is far away.  That isn’t always a bad thing because when you do get a chance to taste it again or go back you have amazing memories.

    A mind draining week

Have you ever had one of those mind blowing weeks where you just don’t know how you made it.  Well this for me has been one of them.  I have been emotionally stretched trying to figure out how to handle and talk about some sensitive topics.  I have had a couple friends talk to me about hair issues.  How to handle their hair, product to use, how often to cut it, where to go, and everything.

I have also talked to friends about their kids and sleep issues.  Of course their little ones are younger than mine but they know that I have had years of dealing with sleep issues with my little one.  I have shared with this the things I have tried, the techniques I have, the melatonin and other herbal things I have used, the sleep habits, etc. Also, about crib tents, transitioning, environment and everything.  Having a little one that isn’t good at sleeping is really hard.  People don’t realize it.  And for those that just miss a few hours of beauty sleep have nothing on a mom who has a kid who just can’t sleep.  My little one the whole first year would only sleep for 15-20 min at a time.  I thought I was going to loose my mind but I also knew I had to do what I could to survive.  I was a mom and I had a family to take care of.  So I needed to find a way to make it work.

I have spent my week talking to my friend about potty training.  That is one hard job.  I have been trying for a while but well I know my daughter will when she is ready.  Well I have decided that because my daughter has a LOVE of candy I will just fill a bowl of all sorts of candy and for every time she goes she get a piece of candy.  But if she does a #2 then I have a special bundle just for that occasion.  So I am prepared.  So I shared this new thing with my friend and told her that she needed to find some incentive for her kid.  Whether it is a toy, candy, hair goodies, but something she could see, touch, and was well aware of everyday and time it happened.  She thought that was a great idea.  So she was going to make a bowl and fill it with something too.

I have also had to talk to my single friend about dating.  And boy let me tell you that is just exhausting.  Momma Mia wow I need a vacation after dealing with this one.  One minute he is fine, then I am suppose to help find a place to eat at, then the places aren’t good enough, then he is nervous.  Oh my gosh I just can’t take it.  And then to top it off he gets a sty on his eye lid just the week before the date.  Oh my gosh this is just going to make him a nervous wreck.  I want to turn my phone off so I don’t have to keep having my eyes roll back in my head.  I haven’t dated in 20 years.  So what do I know lol.  Well obviously more than he does.  I know I am suppose to try and help him out.  He is like a brother to me so I should do something or he will be single forever.

Then I had to deal with just other emotional things.  People just not communicating right and I had to clear it up.  People having other emotional issues and trying to read to much into things and I had to try and re-focus them.  People that just think to much of themselves.  Oh my goodness it is just exhausting.  I just can’t take dealing with so much all in a week but the sad thing is this is a typical day or week for me.  No wonder I get migraines.

    What happens at dance…

Well both of my kids take dance and it is so strange to go there with all of the other mom’s.  Now my kids are in other sports as well and I don’t have the same issue so I am not sure it must just be a dance thing.  But well when we go sometimes there is a couple of mom’s that might have known each other for a while talking but other wise no mom talks to one another.  It is just really strange.  I know there are new mom’s and they could benifit from getting info on how things work, what the kids are doing, if they can leave to go run to the market while they are in class.  Just something with basic communication would be cool but they don’t it is crazy.  I just have a hard time with it sometimes that the place I feel the most comfortable at times is in the car.

I asked the girls that work there and they said it is strange but they see it too.  They don’t know why it happens and why mom’s at dance are like that.  One of them too has a girl in softball and it doesn’t happen at sports like that.  So we just don’t know why.  So is this where some girls get the idea of how to be snobs???
